Why are industrial aluminum profiles also called assembly line aluminum profiles?

First of all, everyone should know that the assembly line is an industrial production method. In order to meet production needs, save costs, and achieve a certain degree of automated production technology. It can be roughly divided into seven types of assembly lines: belt assembly line, plate chain line, double-speed chain, plug-in line, mesh belt line, suspension line and drum assembly line.

So why are industrial aluminum profiles often called assembly line aluminum profiles? In fact, this is based on the use of industrial aluminum profiles. Usually, aluminum profiles used in industry are used to build the main frame of assembly line equipment. For example, they can be made into industrial aluminum profile workbenches, double-speed chains, and support frames for assembly line conveyor lines.

I.Influence of Casting Quality

The quality of the cast rod is an important factor affecting the surface and extrusion molding of the aluminum profile of the heat sink. The cause of “adsorbed particles” is closely related to the quality of the cast rod. Common structural defects of the cast rod include slag inclusion, looseness, coarse grains, segregation, bright grains, etc. All these defects have one thing in common, that is, poor welding with the cast rod matrix, resulting in discontinuity of matrix flow, which is an important factor in the formation of “adsorbed particles”.

II.The influence of mold

In extrusion production, the die works under high temperature and high pressure, which will produce elastic deformation. The die working belt is initially parallel to the extrusion direction. After being subjected to pressure, the working belt deforms into a trumpet shape, and only the cutting edge of the working belt contacts the heat sink aluminum profile, forming aluminum sticking, which is similar to the chip nodules of a turning tool. In the process of aluminum sticking, particles are constantly brought out by the heat sink aluminum profile and adhere to the profile surface, resulting in “adsorbed particles”.

III.Influence of extrusion process

Whether the extrusion process parameters are selected correctly is also an important factor affecting “adsorbed particles”. If the extrusion temperature is too high and the extrusion speed is too fast, there will be more “adsorbed particles”. The reason is that due to the high temperature and fast speed, the flow speed of the profile increases, the degree of mold deformation increases, the flow of the metal accelerates, and the deformation resistance of the metal is relatively weakened, which makes it easier to form aluminum sticking.
The influencing factors of “adsorbed particles” are mainly casting rods, molds, and extrusion processes. The operating level of the operator is also reflected in these three factors. On the basis of production practice, continuous analysis of problems and summarization of experience can reduce or avoid “adsorbed particles” and greatly improve the yield rate and production efficiency of heat sink aluminum profiles.
